Business for London and Enterprise Enfield are delighted to announce the launch of a new LONDON E-Business Support Programme which, over the next 2 years, will empower the capital’s SMEs to enhance their growth, resilience and sustainability, by adopting and effectively utilising digital technology within their day-to-day business practice.

The LONDON E-Business Support Programme is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered through Business for London, a long-established consortium of 7 business support organisations operating across the city.  This Programme has received £2,858,421 from the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to provide this vital support to London’s businesses.  Enterprise Enfield is the lead Business for London consortium partner, and is focusing on delivering support to businesses located in the boroughs of Barnet and Haringey.

Through a package of free support, including: 121 expert advice; webinars and networking events, the programme will empower 1,103 business owners across London to maximise their use of digital tools and online marketing to: attract more customers and clients; boost turnover and productivity; improve the efficiency of their operations and sustainability.  The impact of the programme across the capital will mean 825 jobs will be safe-guarded and 100 new jobs created across the city.

Once registered, businesses will receive 121 advice and support from dedicated E-Business Advisers, specifically tailored to the needs of their individual business. The initial meeting will consist of a Digital Audit of the business to identify its current use of digital tools and technology, and from this, a bespoke Digital Action Plan with key recommendations, will be created for the business. Further 121 support will assist owners to implement the suggested actions - which will be focused on areas such as: boosting the business online presence; enhancing the effectiveness of social media; improving websites and search engine ranking; using e-commerce and online payments; maximising customer service; utilizing better cyber security and I.T. back-up systems.

In addition, businesses will be invited to regular networking events and encouraged to enhance their digital skills and learn more with a range of live webinars - covering a comprehensive range of topics.  These include: Writing for the Web; Search Engine Optimisation; Smart Video Shooting; Email Marketing Using Mailchimp; Social Media for Business; Accounting Tools; E-commerce Platforms / Tools; How to Use AI Tools; Cyber Security and Data Protection Tools; Website Design and Creation (Wix) – to name a few.
