Inspiring Enterprise!
A fully-funded accredited short course: NCFE Level 1 Award in Investigating Enterprise Skills

Develop your enterprising skills and transform your future!

This free accredited short course will help you understand and develop your own enterprising skills, which you can put into action in your education, work and life. Hear from, and be inspired by, enterprising individuals and entrepreneurs and build on your own skills to open up new employment opportunities and transform your future!  

On successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate for an NCFE Level 1 Award in Investigating Enterprise Skills.  NCFE is a recognised awarding organisation for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.  It is one of the biggest awarding bodies for technical and vocational courses in the UK. NCFE, and the qualifications they offer, are recognised by employers, universities, and other awarding bodies such as Ofqual (which regulates NCFE).

The course is fully funded by The RSA Trust, it is delivered by Enterprise Enfield and assessed by Rinova. The sessions will be held during June/July 2025, and consist of one in-person seminar and 3 half day webinars with an additional 5 hours of coursework. Participants will also have access to 4 hours of 121 advice and support.  Deadline for expressions of interest - 27th May.

How Does it Work?
​Participants will attend one in-person seminar and 3 half day webinars and complete an additional 5 hours of coursework - over 4 weeks. They will also receive 4 hours of 121 advice and support from the course tutor, (this can include help to develop an enterprising idea).  Completed coursework will be marked and then assessed by Rinova (there are no tests or exams).  Successful participants will receive a certificate - an NCFE qualification Level 1 Award in Investigating Enterprise Skills.

Eligibility:
To apply for this NCFE accredited course you must:
  • commit to attend all 4 course sessions, dates below 
  • be over 18 years of age
  • have been a UK/EU/EEA resident for a minimum of 3 years
  • not be enrolled on this course elsewhere or have completed this course already

Course Dates:
The first in-person enrolment and workshop will take place on: Tuesday 24th June, 9.30am - 2.00pm held at North London Business Hub, Barnet and Southgate College (Southgate Campus), High Street, Southgate N14 6BS.  Three half day webinars will take place on Tuesdays, 9.30am - 1.30pm on: 1st July, 8th July and 15th July.

Once you submit your expression of interest form, we will be in contact to invite you to join a 121 Zoom informal discussion about the programme with the course Tutor, Liz Gjoni, before being offered a place on the course. At the meeting you will be asked to show proof of ID - such as a passport or driving licence.
