Business Overview

Laura Martinez Da Silva is a Venezuelan portrait photographer based in Waltham Forest, London. She completed her Master’s Degree in Photography at the School of Contemporary Photography, EFTI, Madrid, in 2016 and set up Laura Martinez Photography in 2018, initially working part-time and then transitioning to full-time in 2023.

 

With a passion for capturing life’s unique moments, Laura Martinez offers portrait and lifestyle photography as well as providing guidance for artists and small businesses on ways to enhance their social media content for maximum impact.  She says, “My approach blends creativity with authenticity, ensuring every image and video reflects the true essence of the person and brand.”

 

Support

Having already benefitted from Enterprise Enfield’s business support services under a previous E-business Programme, Laura didn’t think twice about registering on to the organisation’s follow-up digital support scheme, the LONDON E-Business Support Programme.  She explains, “Before joining the initial E-Business programme, I navigated my photography business without a clear direction or a structured plan. But with guidance from my Adviser, I was able to craft a much more solid business model and implement effective ways of attracting clients online. I was keen to receive additional digital advice and support to optimise my potential to grow my business.”

 

Once enrolled on the LONDON E-Business Support Programme, Laura was introduced to E-Business Adviser, Nadya Quintanilla, who, over the course of 5 months, provided valuable advice and guidance on ways to boost her digital impact and grow the business.  Laura was empowered to enhance the design and user experience of her website and improve the site’s SEO to ensure a higher search engine ranking.  In addition, Nadya worked with Laura to refine her business strategy and financial forecasts. Laura says:

Business Growth

The programme support has completely transformed Laura’s business approach, she says, “What began without a formal business plan has evolved into a rebranded website, a solid financial strategy, and a growing client base.​” The support has resulted in a 15% increase in revenue, and, as well as attracting new clients, Laura has also secured two new deals and short-term projects.​
