2026 Inspiring Women Start Ups

Celebrate Graduation!

 

Enterprise Enfield’s ‘Inspiring Women’ celebrated their graduation on Wednesday 8th July having completed the organisation’s 2026  RSA Trust Inspiring Women Start Up Programme - a 6-month package of support providing participants with the business knowledge, skills and confidence to launch their own businesses.  The women attended a celebratory lunch at the at the prestigious Forty Hall Banqueting Suite in Enfield and were presented with their course certificates by Local London Director, Forogh Rahmani.

 

Now in its 19th year, Enterprise Enfield’s annual Inspiring Women Start Up Programme has helped nearly 500 women gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to launch & grow successful businesses!  Over the course of 6 months the 21 participants on this year’s course learnt about all aspects of running a business including: creating a business model; conducting market research; legal requirements; finance and tax; HR; effective digital marketing and selling online - including making videos. All the support, (including webinars, seminars and 121 advice), is FREE as it is funded by local Enfield based charity, the RSA Trust.

The Graduation Ceremony included guest speakers: former 2025 course graduate, Boyoon Choi, who shared how her not for profit business, Grow Crew CIC, has progressed over the past year. Boyoon established her business to transform outdoor spaces in schools and nurseries into gardens so that children can explore, create and learn about plants and nature. Having completed the Inspiring Women Start Up Programme, her business has gone from strength to strength, she secured crowdfunding through Spacehive and Enfield Council, to kickstart her enterprise, and is now creating gardens for a number of schools in the borough.

 

2026 graduate, Shadeen Rose, also shared how the course has helped her develop her ideas and become ready to launch her business, New HorEYEZons – Sight Loss Awareness & Consultancy – which aims to promote more awareness for Visually Impaired People (VIP) in the community and further afield - aiming to break down barriers, improve understanding, accessibility and inclusion across services and communities.

This year’s graduate business ideas cover a whole range of sectors including providing services such as: bookkeeping and accounts; hair and beauty; reiki; catering; a co-working space; a café; a PA agency and language teaching.  Some women will be making and selling products including: a natural deodorant; head scarves; cookies/brownies; spring rolls and handcrafted wax candles.  Other graduates‘ businesses will be offering coaching, mentoring or consultancy.

The next RSA Trust Inspiring Women Start Up Programme will commence in February 2027 (subject to funding).  The programme is open to any women resident in Enfield, Waltham Forest or Haringey who are thinking of starting a business.
