Enterprise Enfield Celebrates 40 Impactful Years
Inspiring, Supporting and Empowering People
to Succeed in Business!
Enterprise Enfield celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a very special event on Friday 20th March at the Dugdale Centre, Enfield EN2 6DS. Over 100 guests attended including business owners and entrepreneurs the organisation has supported over the past 4 decades; as well as representatives from other organisations which have provided funding for specific business support programmes - such as the RSA Trust, Enfield Council, the GLA and Local London.
Enterprise Enfield is immensely proud to have inspired, supported and empowered thousands of people to start, grow and sustain their businesses over the past 40 years – not just in the borough of Enfield – but across the capital. In the last year alone, 915 people accessed its services and nearly 4,500 hours of business advice were provided. The organisation has a special focus on female entrepreneurship, over 62% of its clients are female, and Enterprise Enfield’s bespoke business start-up programmes for women, have over the past 18 years, empowered over 450 women to be ready to launch their own businesses. The celebratory event, which also marked International Women’s Day, focussed on A Celebration of Inspiring Women in Business, and was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the organisation’s achievements as well as showcase the success of some amazing businesses it has helped and supported over the years.
Guests at the event heard talks from inspirational women in business who shared their journeys - including their inspirations, challenges and achievements. A range of businesses also showcased their products and services – and guests enjoyed networking with other local owners.
Enterprise Enfield CEO, Despina Johnson spoke about the impact Enterprise Enfield has made on entrepreneurs and businesses in the region. She said:
“We are so proud to be celebrating this milestone anniversary. Over four decades, our organisation has helped countless people to start, grow and thrive in business.
