With 15 years experience in the fashion and nail industry, business management and marketing, Susan Nguyen established her business, The Nail Group, in 2016 – creating a vibrant nail salon in the heart of Tottenham- offering quality nail care services and branded products to the community.

Susan grew her business steadily with the help of Enterprise Enfield - receiving expert advice, guidance and support she needed to scale her business successfully - with the support of the organisation's women’s programmes which included: the Inspiring Women Business Growth Programme and the Female Founders Accelerator - a 12 month programme, supported by J P Morgan, which empowered women with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to develop and grow their businesses to the next level. Susan said,  “I received such great support and advice from the Female Founders Programme - which has guided me through my business growth.”

Susan is passionate about the nail care business, making it her mission to inspire self confidence in everyday life through exemplary nail care to clients with the highest of craftsmanship and creativity. Her ambitions include building a globally recognised, premium self-care brand, creating luxury experiences and developing quality products.  Although her plans to build a new luxury architect-designed salon were initially put on hold in 2020 with the onset of the covid pandemic, she eventually opened her newly designed salon later that year.  She said:

“As a long-standing small business based in Tottenham, North London, we have always encouraged our community to support local, small businesses. From speaking with our clients, neighbouring businesses and visitors, we found that there is immense support for local businesses but there was a lack of variety our high road to encourage and attract people to stay local. Our state of the art salon helps to address this.  We aimed take the nail industry standard up a level in North London and the results hopefully speak for themselves!”

The Nail Group salon includes everything needed for customers to relax and be pampered in comfort - "Our minimalistic design allows for our subtle shapes and elements to stand out. We have implemented natural wood to add warmth and cosiness and brought in beautiful fresh plants and palms to boost mood, creativity and to reduce stress" There are blush pink and gold chairs, smart tvs and USB charging sockets. The bespoke pedi room at the back of the salon is a tranquil haven with soft spa music and dimmed lighting.

All Susan's hard work building the business, has paid off as The Nail Group has been recognised as Nail Salon of the Year in both the 2025 and 2026 national Scratch Stars Awards - the only awards for the UK nail industry.
